Timber yard visit

Our newest apprentices visited a timber yard in Milland today.  Robin Carter of Timber Resources Ltd was cutting a locally grown oak tree, to James Ryan specifications. The oak will be air dried in our timber sheds for about three years before being used in future commissions.

We have always cut and dried our own timber this ensures that a piece of furniture can be made with timber from one tree, this avoids any mis-match of colouration and grain.
